The phone alarm problem

Seven alarms, four toggles and a mental note — rebuilt by hand every time the roster swings.

Set the roster once

Pick a rotation template or build your own. Rostrik projects it forward for you.

Alarms follow the roster

Rostrik schedules a wake-up for each rostered shift at the lead time you chose. Days off stay quiet.

What it does

Built for people who don’t work nine to five

Everything in Rostrik points at one job: lining up tomorrow’s alarm with the shift you’re actually on.

Automatic shift alarms

Choose how early you want to be up — anywhere from a few minutes to several hours — and Rostrik schedules an alarm ahead of each rostered shift. No resetting alarms by hand every swing.

Rotation builder

Day shifts, night shifts, rotating or fully custom. Generate a repeating pattern from a template, set the day it starts, and the whole roster fills itself in.

Timeline you can read at a glance

Month view or list view, colour-coded by shift type — day, afternoon, night, ad-hoc and leave. Know what next fortnight looks like without counting on your fingers.

Sleep planning

Night shift wrecks a sleep routine. Rostrik works backwards from your next start so you can see when you actually need to be asleep, not just when to get up.

One-off shifts and swaps

Picked up an extra? Swapped with someone? Drop a single custom shift onto the roster without disturbing the pattern underneath it.

Holiday mode

Pause the schedule while you’re on leave and every alarm goes quiet with it. Switch it back on when you land and the rotation picks up where it left off.

How it works

Four steps and you’re done

Set-up takes about a minute. After that, Rostrik keeps your alarms lined up with your roster.

Pick your roster type

Day shifts, night shifts, rotating or custom — start from the pattern closest to yours.

Set the pattern and start date

Tell Rostrik how many days on, how many off, and the day your cycle begins.

Choose your lead time

How long before a shift should the alarm ring? Thirty minutes or three hours — your call.

Automate your alarms

Hit the button once and Rostrik schedules alarms for the shifts ahead of you.

    Questions

    The short answers

    Which rosters does Rostrik handle?
Rostrik is built around repeating rotations — days on and days off in a pattern that cycles. Start from a day, night, rotating or custom template, set how the cycle runs and when it starts, and the roster projects forward from there. One-off shifts sit on top of the pattern without breaking it.
How far ahead does the alarm ring?
You choose the lead time — how long before a shift starts you want to be woken. Set it once during setup and it applies to each rostered shift, so night shifts and day shifts each get an alarm timed to their own start.
Do I still need a backup alarm?
For any shift where being on time matters, yes. Rostrik schedules your alarms, but your phone’s operating system and manufacturer decide when apps are allowed to run — battery savers and “deep sleep” modes on some phones can delay or block an alarm. Keep your phone’s built-in clock alarm or a second device as a backup, and let Rostrik through any battery optimisation settings. The detail is in our Terms of Use.
Do I need an account? Where is my data kept?
No account needed. Your roster, shifts, alarms and settings are stored on your phone, not on our servers. The app doesn’t use advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services, and we don’t sell your data. Uninstall Rostrik and that data goes with it. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
What happens on my days off?
Nothing. Rostrik only schedules alarms for days you’re actually rostered on. Days off stay silent, and if you’re heading away you can switch on Pause Schedule to silence everything until you’re back.
    Is there an iPhone version?
Rostrik is on Android now, and an iOS version is in development. Follow @rostrikapps on Instagram or X and you’ll hear the moment it lands on the App Store.
My roster changed at short notice — now what?
Add a custom shift for the day you picked up, or adjust the rotation from the Manage screen. The timeline and the alarms are worked out from the same roster, so they change together — though after a big change it’s worth a quick look at your next alarm.
How do I get help or send feedback?
Email rostrikapps@gmail.com — feature requests and bug reports both welcome. If it’s something other shift workers would want too, it goes on the list.
